Specialized track-chairs help the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) make nature and the outdoors more accessible to all outdoor enthusiasts. MDC recently awarded a grant to Missouri Disabled Sportsmen (MDS) to assist in the purchase of four trackchairs and an enclosed trailer.
Recently, the North Missouri Art Council announced that local artists Nora Othic, Gloria Gooch and Barbara Garvey won awards at the Missouri State Fair. Othic won a Top 50 Award, Garvey received an Honorable Mention and Gooch won two awards in the Amateur division.
Farmers are invited to submit nominations for the Inaugural Missouri Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year contest, supported by Purina. This brand-new contest celebrates farm dogs and the many ways they support farmers and ranchers in producing nutritious food for families and their pets across Missouri. The grand prize winner – the Missouri Farm Bureau Farm Dog of the Year – will win a year's worth of Purina dog food and will be recognized at a Farm Dog of the Year award ceremony at the Missouri Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in December.
