The Marceline VFW Post #1471 recently announced its 38th annual Pledge of Allegiance Coloring Book Contest winners. Three winners were chosen in each of the three classrooms of second graders at Disney Elementary School and the 1st and 2nd grades at Fr. McCartan Memorial School.
On March 7, the Big bad Wolf was acquitted by one jury. Two other trails resulted in a hung jury.

Recently, Connor Phillips and Preslee Dorrell were named Marceline middle and high school Students of the Week. Phillips’ activities include football, baseball and FFA. He enjoys reading and hanging out with friends and family. Dorrell enjoys hanging out with family in her free time.
