Canvas House Receives Major Donation & Acquisition Canvas House Recovery, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and providing opportunities for persons in recovery to rebuild their lives away from addiction, has recently received a major donation from area private donors to assist in the first phase of providing needed transitional housing. Canvas House Recovery is currently looking for an available lot in the Linn County area on which transitional housing can be built or placed.
R-II School Board Meets, Accepts Collins Letter of Retirement
The Brookfield R-III Board of Education, Brookfield, Missouri met in open session on Sept. 20, with all board members present. During the meeting the board accepted the letter of retirement of Superintendent Dr. Kyle Collins.

27th Annual Fly-In, Drive-In Breakfast Oct. 1

There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 a.m., – 12 p.m., except on holidays.
Farmers’ Electric Cooperative’s 84th Annual Meeting Results
Exactly 500 Farmers’ Electric Cooperative Members attended the Cooperative’s 84th Annual Meeting in Chillicothe last week. The meeting was held as a drive-thru style event again this year.
