Brookfield now has a new laundromat in town. Located at the former Brookfield Laundry building on East Canal Street, people in and around Brookfield and Linn County now have a place to take their laundry again.

On Saturday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m., the 20th and final year of the Marceline Carnegie Library Quilt Show will return to its humble beginnings.

Almost 150 Missouri 4-H youths applied their evaluation and communication skills Sept. 10 during the University of Missouri Extension State 4-H Livestock Judging Contest at the Trowbridge Livestock Center on the MU campus in Columbia. Several youth from Linn County were honored. Linn County was also named one of the top three junior teams.

Life Options Green Hills Pregnancy + Health Center recently announced Bill Moore has been named its Fatherhood Program Manager. Moore oversees all the male services and facilitates the training for male volunteers.
