Gov. Cost-Share Program To Generate Economic Development Through Transportation Projects

In the last legislative session, the Missouri General Assembly appropriated $75 million to the departments of transportation and economicdevelopmentfortheGovernor’s Transportation Cost-Share Program, aiming to build partnerships with local entities to deliver road and bridge projects. Guidelines and applications for the costshare program are now available at modot.org/governors-transportation- cost-share-program.

Main Street Brookfield Event Benefits Brookfield Junction Park

Brookfield Main Street recently presented Brookfield Junction Park, with an $1,800 check from the quarter event. Representing Main Street and presenting the check is Pam Davis, Chuck Bloss, Marcia Cunningham, Ian Thuduim, Nancie Saccaro, accepting the check from Junction Park, is Rob Riddle, president, Cherrie Paalhar, treasurer, Dana Tarpening! Not pictured, Gina Parker secretary, Gale Turner, Zandy Larson. The Main Street organization continues to support the completion of the downtown park as a tribute to Brookfield's railroad heritage.

For a person or someone with a horse-loving kid an equine lease in a barn with lessons might be a wonderful way to get experience before buying a horse or for the person that does not have the space to own a horse. Leasing a horse can be a way for a horse owner to keep their horse during busy or challenging times in their life. Leasing their horse can also help with maintenance costs and keep the horse in physical working shape.

Rojas Shows Grand Champion Steer

The Grand Champion Steer exhibited by Mikaela Rojas of New Boston weighed 1,310 pounds and sold for $12,500. The crossbred was purchased by Edward Jones. Additional funds for the Grand Champion Steer were contributed by Youth in Agriculture and hometown supporters resulting in a total record-breaking sale value of $33,945.79.
