The Linn County Leader will once again have an office front in Linn County as of today, June 1. The office will be located in Marceline at 118 N, Main Street USA, next to Marceline's City Hall.
For the next two weeks there will be ongoing work to the facade in the front of Marceline's City Hall. According to a press release from Marceline City Manager Richard Hoon, The city has contracted with STAAT, Inc.
Brookfield Class of 2022 graduated during a ceremony held on Sunday, May 22 in the high school gym. Students recognized with Top 10 % Acadmic Achievement included: Alayna Arnold, Carly Clarkson, Mitchell Day, Ryan McIntyre, Trent Polly, Scarlet Polson and Alex Sharp. Alex Sharp was named Valedictorian and Alayna Arnold was Salutatorian.
The Brookfield City Council met on May 24 in regularly scheduled meeting in which they accepted bids for mowing of Rose Hill Cemetery and bids on lots of various city property. Lawn Boyz, Bucklin, was awarded the bid to mow Rose Hill Cemetery from July 1 – Sept.
American Red Cross Blood Drive June 6 An American Red Cross Blood drive is being held from 1:30-5:30 p.m., June 6 at the Walsworth Community Center, 124 E Ritchie St., Marceline. Wright Funeral Home 75th Anniversary Celebration Wright Funeral Home, Brookfield, is celebrating its 75th Anniversary with a community celebration.

There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 – 12:00, except on holidays.
