NCMC Athletics Mourns The Loss Of Former Coach Dale Kimberling

Former North Central Missouri College (NCMC) head men's basketball coach Dale Kimberling died on April 7, at the age of 76. Kimberling launched his collegiate coaching career as head women's basketball coach at State Fair Community College from 1977-1979. He then came to NCMC to lead the men's basketball program from 1979-1987. After one year at Missouri Southern State University following NCMC, Coach Kimberling returned to State Fair where he finished his career. He led the women's program for 17 more years followed by two years as head coach for their men's program before retiring from coaching.

Avengers Assemble!

Avengers made their way to the Burris Center in Brookfield on Sunday. The event is one of many sponosred by Brookfield Parks & Recreation. This Saturday the group is hosting two events, an Easter Egg Hunt, at Rusk Park at 10 a.m. Different ages in different locations. Fairy Garden Workshop, will also beheld Saturday from 1 – 4 p.m., at the Burris Center, Bring your own container with some dirt in it and anything special to decorate with. Everything else supplied. LCACTC Skills USA Students Place

Linn County Area Technical Center SkillsUSA members recently attended the State Leadership contest. Those who placed at the state leadership conference, include: Lizabeth Vargas - 1st place Leadership Essay; Rylan Head - 2nd place Health Occupational Portfolio; Sam Lee - 3rd place Health Occupational Portfolio; Brooke Falconer, Lani Arnold, Scarlet Polson and Mallory McCabe - 3rd place Health Knowledge Bowl.
