Fundraising ongoing for Brookfield Junction Park

Fundraising is ongoing for the Brookfield Junction Park, located at the corner of North Main Street and East Boston Street near Brookfield Library. “We are hoping to create a pleasant addition to the city park system where families can visit and learn more about the railroads’ part in the founding of Brookfield and perhaps see friends and relatives honored in the tribute wall as contributors to railroad history and to this park,” Rob Riddle Brookfield Junction Park Committee President said.

Braymer C-4 Teacher Charged With Sexual Misconduct, Sending Nude Photos

A high school physical education teacher for the Braymer C-4 School District is facing charges after allegedly sending nude photos to students from July 2021-March 2022. Zachary Wayman Douglas, Utica, has been charged with one count of felony sexual misconduct involving a child under 15, one count of misdemeanor first-degree sexual misconduct, and four counts of misdemeanor furnish pornographic material or attempt to furnish to a minor.

Central Missouri Honor Flight Returns To The Sky May 9

After a more than two-year postponement of flights due to the pandemic, Central Missouri Honor Flight (CMHF) is preparing for its first flight of the 2022 flight season on Monday, May 9. Veterans, some of whom have waited more than three years for their Honor Flight, will be treated to the trip of a lifetime to Washington, DC, to see the memorials dedicated to their military service.

Deadline Set to Renew Expiring Conservation Stewardship Program Contracts

Missouri producers who have an active 2018 Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) Classic, CSP-Renewal or CSP Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) contract that will be expiring at the end of 2022, have until April 15, to apply for potential renewal of their contract for an additional five years. Contract holders can visit their local USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) office to complete the required renewal process.
