University Of Missouri Extension FCS Professionals Help Area Residents To “Live Well”

Health is a lot more than how one looks and feels. Conversations about health should include all eight dimensions or areas of wellness—that is mental, social, emotional, spiritual, financial, occupational, environmental, and intellectual. That’s the focus of Living Well Month, a national event in March promoting overall wellness and the education provided by Family and Consumer Sciences professionals to improve the lives of people, families, and communities.

Ethel Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Parade

On Shrove Tuesday evening, March 1, 2022 the LaPlata band led the Mardi Gras parade through downtown Ethel, Missouri. Playing the “Saints Go Marching In” the band led festive revelers with assorted noise makers. After the parade all participants enjoyed pancakes, sausages and a specially baked King Cake, at the Ethel Community Church.

Recently, Bryce Stallo and Lyric Polson were named Marceline Middle and High School Students of the Week. Stallo's activities include basketball, golf and video games. In his free time he enjoys spending time with friends and family. Polson's activities include working and she enjoys creating graphic signs.
