Lawmakers returned to the State Capitol Building Wednesday, Jan. 5 for the start of the 2022 legislative session, which is officially the Second Regular Session of the 101st General Assembly.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol, (MSHP) a premier law enforcement agency, is testing for new troopers. The patrol is encouraging qualified individuals of all backgrounds to apply and is offering testing at nine different locations in Missouri. Those who successfully complete testing will be eligible to continue in the selection process for the 115th Recruit Class, scheduled to begin training on July 5, 2022. The application deadline is Feb. 2, 2022.

Amaryllis are easy to grow, need little care and don’t take up much space. These plants are great in an office if enough light is available.
A two-year-old from Chillicothe was pronounced dead on Christmas Eve and two Chillicothe adults were charged with second degree murder and endangering the welfare of a child creating a substantial risk, on Jan. 5.
“Several breweries and wineries in the state have ramped up production to satisfy the demand,” said Michele Warmund, University of Missouri Extension horticulturist. Missouri apple producers see this resurgence as an opportunity to bolster sales of conventional apple cultivars as well as high-tannin cider cultivars, she said.
