State Farm ribbon cutting Recently, the Marceline Arae Chamber of Commerce hosted Chamber members had a ribbon cutting for Ryan Robuck, State Farm Agent located at 103 S. Main Street USA.
The Linn County Extension Council is comprised of a 15 member board with 10 elected members and three appointed members representing Farm Bureau, the City of Brookfield, and the Linn County Commission as well as one youth from each Linn County 4-H and FFA clubs. Members serve a two-year term, with half of the elected membership being elected annually January/February. Extension Council members act as educational brokers, putting the interests and concerns of the local community together with the resources of our land-grant university to achieve the goals of our community.
The Linn County Commission met on Nov, 9 with Commissioners Glen Murrain, Josh Muck and County Clerk Suzan Stephenson present. Commissioner King was attending the annual GHRPC meeting in Trenton. Acting Presiding Commissioner Murrain called the meeting to order. The agenda was reviewed.

Bucklin Community Association hosted its annual Christmas gathering last weekend. Santa’s elves hung lights, decorated the Community Building, put up the Christmas tree, filled candy bags, brought cookies and served refreshments, making the annual event another success and a great way for the community to kick-off the holiday season.
