The Brookfield R-III School District administration and Board of Education presented diplomas to 69 graduating seniors at this year’s commencement exercises on May 14, 2023. Due to the weekend’s weather conditions, the commencement exercises were held in the Brookfield High School Fieldhouse.

Tornadoes touched down in Linn County late Saturday evening, May 6. Two tornadoes caused damage in Linn County and one in Trenton in Grundy County.

There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 a.m., – 12 p.m., except on holidays.

Already containing more than 21,000 PDF images, this online resource now offers the public unprecedented access to 5,800 volumes and individual records from 87 of Missouri’s 114 counties, with more being added every week.
Cultural Corner is pleased to present the work of four photographers for their May and June Exhibit, “Art in Bloom.” Martin Spilker, a self-taught photographer from Bethel, Missouri, focuses on nature scenes from around the country. He is a juried member of the Missouri Artisans Association.
