Saint Luke’s Health System is implementing a new hybrid obstetrical model to preserve high-quality maternity care in North Central Missouri, effective June 30, 2023. Hedrick Medical Center (HMC) will continue to provide nearly all pre- and post-natal care for patients at its Hedrick OB/GYN Associates Clinic, led by Medical Director and OB-GYN Dr.

Brookfield High School Prom 2023 was surely a night to remember for those attending the “Star Light Fantasy” themed event at the high school on April 22. The dance followed the customary Grand March where friends and family filled the gym waiting to celebrate this year’s prom goers.

There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 a.m., – 12 p.m., except on holidays.

FCS Financial recently selected 34 recipients for their Scholarship Program who will each receive a $1,500 scholarship to assist with the cost of higher education. Since 2004, more than $825,000 has been distributed through the FCS Financial Scholarship Program. The program is designed to encourage and support higher education for children and grandchildren of FCS Financial members.
The closure of the Chariton County Route D bridge over Clark Branch, located approximately 1 mile east of Missouri Route 5, has been delayed again due to equipment availability. The bridge is now expected to close on Monday, May 8.The Clark Branch Bridge, along with the East Fork of Bee Branch Bridge, located 0.5 miles west of Route 129 will be replaced under the FARM (Fixing Access to Rural Missouri) Bridge Program.
Local winners of the American Legion Auxiliary Americanism Essay Contest attended awards night and a dinner at the Livingston County Veterans Building on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. The essay theme this year was “What does patriotism mean to you?”
