There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 a.m., – 12 p.m., except on holidays.
Keith Herring and Alaina Glass were married on April 23 at the Herring farm. They will be living in rural Linneus.
FCS Financial recently selected 34 recipients for their Scholarship Program who will each receive a $1,500 scholarship to assist with the cost of higher education. Since 2004, more than $825,000 has been distributed through the FCS Financial Scholarship Program. The program is designed to encourage and support higher education for children and grandchildren of FCS Financial members.
The closure of the Chariton County Route D bridge over Clark Branch, located approximately 1 mile east of Missouri Route 5, has been delayed again due to equipment availability. The bridge is now expected to close on Monday, May 8.The Clark Branch Bridge, along with the East Fork of Bee Branch Bridge, located 0.5 miles west of Route 129 will be replaced under the FARM (Fixing Access to Rural Missouri) Bridge Program.
Fundraising is ongoing for the Brook_eld Junction Park, located at the corner of North Main Street and East Boston Street near Brook_eld Library, where area residents can see some of the early steps in the transformation of the park. Most recently sidewalks were poured.
_is VFW co-students of the month for April are Brookeld High School Seniors Chika Chukwu and Liz Orta-Vargas. Chukwu is the president of the local National Honor Society organization.
e North Central Missouri YMCA and the Brook_eld Lions Club teamed up with several area organizations to provide Diabetes, Eye & Hearing Screenings; _ngerprinting; face painting; healthy snacks; door prizes; a Bounce House; and information booths.
General John J. Pershing Memorial Hospital (PHS) announces the acquisition of a new in-house MRI service pending the Missouri Certi _cate of Need approval. PHS was provided funds through Congressionally directed spending in the December 2022 Omnibus bill.
