Recently, the Linn County Leader asked our readers to nominated “Angels” in the community - the people who go above and beyond. We asked and residents answered the call nominating 14 well deserving citizens. The 2023 Linn County “Angels Among Us” are Dave Ankeney, Donnie Hedrick, Andrea Switzer and Chris Ankeney. Below are their stories and the names of the honorees and descriptions of what makes each of them an “Angel”.
Spontaneity and style meet substance and structure in “Holck & Chumley”, featuring the artwork of Helen Holck and Patricia Chumbley. A strong Sunday afternoon turnout greeted the Trenton-based artists at the opening reception for their featured art show at the NOMO Art Gallery in Marceline, on April 2. The North Missouri Arts Council will host the show “Holck & Chumbley” until May 29.

There is a $3 suggested contribution for meals for those 60 years and over and $6.75 cost for meals for those 59 years and under. Meals are delivered Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 a.m., – 12 p.m., except on holidays.
Route C over West Yellow Creek Another northern Missouri bridge is scheduled to be replaced under the FARM (Fixing Access to Rural Missouri) Bridge Program. The Linn County Route C bridge over West Yellow Creek, located approximately 1 mile west of Missouri Route 111 is scheduled to close Monday, April 10 for construction.
