The Marceline High School Tigers swept Brookfield on February 21 at home, with the JV winning 101-100 on the golden toss-up, and the Varsity winning 180-170. For the JV, Matt Stallo had 3 toss-ups, and the golden toss-up for the win. Evan Burgener had 1 toss-up. For the Varsity, Jackson Fetherlin had 3 toss-ups, and both Will Krumpelman and Micah Tate had 2.

Marceline IDA now accepting applications for Business Improvement Grant Program

The Industrial Development Authority of the City of Marceline announced they would be providing a 50/50 matching grant program to Marceline businesses to make building façade improvements again this year. Richard Switzer, Executive Director of the IDA said the grant would be eligible to all commercial business owners within the Downtown Marceline Foundation Business District. The total grant money available for this Business Improvement Grant Program will be $10,000 for the 2023 grant cycle.

NCMC to host Legislative Forum

North Central Missouri College (NCMC) will host a Legislative Forum in Trenton in Cross Hall Lobby on Friday, February 24. Legislators and officials will be in attendance representing area counties, regions, and the state of Missouri. There will be a meet and greet from 10-10:30 a.m., followed by a semi-structured forum from 10:30-11:30 a.m., with each attendee having an opportunity to present the key items on their respective agendas. Legislators and officials will also have an opportunity to take questions from the audience and respond to current issues facing our region. All members of the public are invited to attend.
