Reigelsberger named HMC 2022 Employee of the Year
Hedrick Medical Center recently announced the 2022 Employee of the Year. Amanda Reigelsberger, registered nurse IV in Hedrick Medical Center’s maternity department, was presented with the award at a ceremony held in her honor on February 13. Other nominees were 2022 Employee of the Quarter winners: Mandy Morton, Ashley Ewing, and Sherry Sterling.

Time to buy MDC 2023 annual hunting and fishing permits
The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) reminds Missouri hunters and anglers that related annual permits expire at the end of February, including 2022 permits for small game, fishing, trout fishing, and combination hunting and fishing.

Governor announces Blue Scholarships to be awarded to support training for law enforcement recruits
Governor Mike Parson recently announced that in its first year the Missouri Blue Scholarship helped fund the training of 217 law enforcement recruits at Missouri training academies. “We designed the Missouri Blue Scholarship to help support men and women interested in dedicating their lives to law enforcement careers, and we're extremely pleased with the success of the scholarship program,” Governor Parson said.

“Frozen” comes to Chillicothe
CHS wins National Competition to produce show Over the summer months, the drama department at Chillicothe High School applied to be the only school in Missouri to produce the stage version of Disney’s Frozen. In the national competition called the United States of Frozen, one school per state was chosen and given the rights to produce a limited number of shows at a reduced rate.

BLUE showcases three generations of Missouri artists

And that’s what artists from north-central and central Missouri did when they answered the call for artwork in the 2023 premiere show BLUE—the first open-call themed art show at the NOMO Art Gallery in several years.
