The Linn County Commission met on January 3 with Commissioners King, Murrain and Muck and Clerk Stephenson present. Presiding Commissioner King called the meeting to order.

If not handled properly, pesticides may cause harm to other organisms including pets, livestock, wildlife, and people.
Over 455,000 Missourians left high school without earning a diploma. Now, through a new program from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, those adults will have the opportunity to finish high school 100% online and at no cost through the Missouri Workforce Diploma Program.
Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery invites the public to 'Get Cozy with Quilts' during the month of January. Currently, dozens of quilts are on display for public viewing. The exhibit is quite diverse, including both heirloom quilts and recently crafted quilts in many styles and patterns. Several of the quilts are over 100 years old and show intricate and exquisite handwork. Two of the more recently made quilts, by quilter Cyndi Johnson make use of hand-dyed fabrics collected over a number of years. The stories behind many of the quilts are quite interesting and are posted for the public to read. The exhibit can be viewed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday and 1 - 4 p.m., on Saturday. Cultural Corner is located at 424 Locust in Chillicothe.
