Students and teachers honored during VFW meeting

From local district competitions to national scholarship competitions, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) sponsors annual youth essay competitions, providing middle school students and high school students the unique opportunity to write and present essays for the Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest and the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest. The essay contests encourage students to improve their speaking and writing skills while learning how to express opinions and views on an annual patriotic theme.
