COLUMBIA — Had Marceline High School boys’ head coach Andrew Stewart been given a guarantee last Wednesday that his Tigers would bring home four medals from the 2022 MSHSAA Wrestling Championships – including a runnerup and two third-place honors, while he might have been hopeful of more, he’d likely have felt good in accepting that as the outcome.
BROOKFIELD — Victory in their final home appearance of the season seemed to be the young Brookfield High School basketball Lady Bulldogs’ destiny Tuesday night, but slipped from their grasp at the last second.

One Linn County Class 1 high school basketball team clinched a winning record in 2021-22 Tuesday night and another continued its giant late-season strides in that direction. The Linn County R-1 Lady Mustangs’ rout of visiting Hale/Bosworth clinched an above-water final mark, improving them to 14-11 with one regular-season game remaining.
