Brookfield Basketball Squads Struggle In League Play

BROOKFIELD — The early stages of 2021-22 Clarence Cannon Conference basketball competition hasn’t ended well for the Brookfield High squads. Including this past Tuesday’s home defeats at the hands of Centralia – 49-29 in girls’ play and 60-35 in boys’, the blue-and-white teams were 0-3 in the loop (with Friday home contests against Clark County in the intervening time since this story was filed).

Hoping To Own Tourney Titles, Marceline Cagers Set For Home Finales

A busy week which will be capped by the teams’ last home contests of the 2021-22 season began at Milan Monday for the Marceline High School varsity basketball clubs. A bit over two weeks after they earned the opportunity, the Tigers and Lady Tigers made the short jaunt east to Milan Monday to finally play the hosts for the Milan Invitational Tournament championships.
