MARCELINE — Despite their limited full-squad practice time beforehand, the Marceline High School basketball Tigers were able to join the Lady Tigers in having a successful start to their 2021-22 Lewis and Clark Conference play last Tuesday.
Missouri athletic director Desiree Reed-Francois doesn’t feel like the Tigers were the Southeastern Conference’s odd team out during the bowl selection process. Yes, MU was the only league team not selected to the College Football Playoff or a previous league-affiliated bowl, but she and Missouri head football coach Eli Drinkwitz value the opportunity of the Armed Forces Bowl.
