The Marceline High School softball Lady Tigers, down-shifted to third in the latest Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association’s Class 2 state rankings after losing to newly-crowned Lewis and Clark Conference champion Fayette last week, took out their frustration with their loss to Fayette on Trenton this past Monday.

Marceline Rally Takes Pigskin Shootout from Host Panthers

SALISBURY — Down 26-14 entering the fourth quarter on the road, the Marceline High School football Tigers charged down the homestretch with three touchdowns in the last 12 minutes to overtake and shade the Salisbury Panthers in a high-scoring 36-32 contest last Friday. The comeback – on the heels of the prior week’s initial victory of the season – lifted the MHS records to 2-1 in the Lewis and Clark Conference and 2-4 overall heading into this Friday’s regular- season (and possibly 2022) home finale against the Scotland County Tigers.

Thirds Order of Day for Brookfield in Thursday Golf, Running

Third place was the “name of the game” for Brookfield High School’s golfers and top cross country runner in competition last Thursday. The golf Lady Bulldogs hosted their annual tournament at the Brookfield Country Club and, led by individual runnerup Maggie Bennett, placed third in the team standings behind champion Gallatin and runnerup Palmyra.
