In the final act of her stellar Brookfield High School distance-running career, recent BHS graduate “Alex” Sharp stands on the MSHSAA Class 2 State Track-and-Field Championships medals stand wearing the medal she’s just received for her fourth-place in the 3,200-meters run last Saturday (May 21). JEFFERSON CITY — A potential third-straight Class 2 state championship endangered by weather and circumstances far beyond her control and dangling by a thread, Marceline High School 2022 graduate Ramzee Bruner exhibited resolve and maturity Saturday afternoon and realized her goal in spite of it all.
JEFFERSON CITY — With a school-record breaking performance by one new graduate and led one last time by distance-running phenom and also new BHS alum Alexandra “Alex” Sharp, Brookfield High School returned home Saturday night from the 2022 Missouri State High School Activities Association Track-and- Field Championships with three top-3 medals, but, for the first time in several years, no state champion.
JEFFERSON CITY — Living up to the expectations, Linn County R-1 High School junior Morgan Livingston produced a top-3 finish in the girls’ high jump last Friday in the 2022 MSHSAA Class 1 Track-and-Field Championships.
