Linn County State Meet Standouts

In the final act of her stellar Brookfield High School distance-running career, recent BHS graduate “Alex” Sharp stands on the MSHSAA Class 2 State Track-and-Field Championships medals stand wearing the medal she’s just received for her fourth-place in the 3,200-meters run last Saturday (May 21). The medal was the ninth state-meet medal in Sharp’s three seasons of high school track competition (her would-be sophomore year was canceled during the COVID-19 pandemic). The Tulane University-bound BHS standout was a 2-times state champion in both track and cross-country running.
