NFL Schedule Filled With Enticing Matchups

From Russell Wilson playing his first game as a Bronco in Seattle to Doug Pederson vs. Carson Wentz, the NFL schedule is filled with spicy matchups from the outset. Too bad we have to wait four months for it all to begin. And it should begin with a bang. The Seahawks prospered like never before with Wilson as their quarterback for the last decade, including a Super Bowl title and another they should have had if not for some, uh, curious play calls in the 2015 game. They rewarded Wilson's desire to go elsewhere with a monster trade in this offseason and he landed in Denver. Now he lands in Seattle in Week 1 as an opponent. District-Champ Marceline Golf Tigers Set For State

MOBERLY — In a sensational, welltimed show of skill, four Marceline High School golf Tigers shot 18-holes rounds of 84 or lower in the Class 1 District 2 tournament last Monday, placing them all among the 8-best individual rounds and powering the Tigers to the team championship and one of the district’s two team berths in this coming Monday’s and Tuesday’s Class 1 State Championships tournament near Springfield.

Brookfield Golfers Non-Factor At District, Season Ends

RICHMOND — As looked likely, the season for the Brookfield High School Bulldogs golf team reached its conclusion last Monday. Competing in the state-qualifying Class 2 District 4 tournament at Richmond’s Shirkey Golf Course, Brookfield – with only the minimum four golfers needed to produce a team score entered – generated a score of 518, last in the field of 12 teams entered (not all schools had enough players for a team score).
