Brookfield Diamond ’Dogs Took Winning Streak Into Postseason

BROOKFIELD — It’s not a situation anywhere comparable to the New York Yankees’ 4-decades dominance of Major League Baseball from the 1920s into the early 1960s – dominance which by the 1950s had prompted popularity of the phrase “break up the Yankees” among fans of other clubs – particularly in the American League, but the still-fledgling Brookfield High School Bulldogs are enjoying a historic stretch of success of their own.

Brookfield Golfers Non-Factor At District, Season Ends

RICHMOND — As looked likely, the season for the Brookfield High School Bulldogs golf team reached its conclusion last Monday. Competing in the state-qualifying Class 2 District 4 tournament at Richmond’s Shirkey Golf Course, Brookfield – with only the minimum four golfers needed to produce a team score entered – generated a score of 518, last in the field of 12 teams entered (not all schools had enough players for a team score).
