Marceline High School football Tigers 2-ways standout Hunter Nelson signed late last month to accept a scholarship offer to play the sport at Iowa’s Graceland University. Joining him for the signing ceremony at the MHS gym were his parents Debbie and Robert. A 2022 All-State running back and multiple times all-Lewis and Clark Conference and all-district honoree at both running back and linebacker, as well as Academic All-State in football and a multi-times state wrestling tournament qualifier, Nelson finished his gridiron career at Marceline with 3,371 rushing yards, 4th-most all-time in MHS history, and a 6.2 yards per carry career average.
