Facing Kansas City: Park Hill’s junior-varsity lineup in an 18-holes match at the par-72 Tiffany Greens course, the Tigers continued their early-season success by shooting a low-4 score of 355, edging the Class 5 foe’s second-stringers by 12 strokes.

The early part of the past week brought more wet weather, negating a scheduled high school baseball clash between two Linn County schools. Linn County R-1 was to have hosted Meadville Tuesday, but the rain that arrived in the late afternoon caused that to be called off during the second inning.
