Teresa Ross, Northwest Regional Coordinator and the Chariton Valley Team. Chariton Valley recently donated $1000 to the Central & Northeast Missouri Food Bank for the Buddy Pack program. Buddy Packs are pre-packaged bags of various food items, such as easy-tomake meals, cereal and peanut butter, that are distributed to area students in need. At upper-level schools, food is discreetly provided through school pantries instead. Buddy Packs provide food to 7,500 children each week during the academic year, and school pantries help hundreds more. To reach as many students as possible, The Food Bank works with 185 school partners and if grateful to Chariton Valley for partnering with us and their commitment to their communities. This funding will be used to provide buddy packs at no charge to students in: Macon, Linn and Shelby counties.
