Cody Laws Arrested in Macon County on Linn County Warrants

Authorities have confirmed that Cody Laws, 35, has been taken into custody in Macon County on active Linn County warrants. His arrest comes after a public alert was issued earlier this month by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office asking for assistance in locating him.

Laws was originally reported wanted on August 8, when he was last seen in Bucklin, Missouri. At that time, Sheriff Carrie Melte urged the public to use caution and to report sightings directly to law enforcement.

According to officials, multiple agencies were involved in the arrest, including the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, North Missouri Drug Task Force, Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Operation Relentless Pursuit Fugitive Task Force. Sheriff Melte expressed gratitude for the coordinated effort, thanking the public for their support and the assisting agencies for their work in bringing Laws into custody.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, and additional details regarding the case have not yet been released.
