• The Halls of Brookfield is hosting its Pumpkin Slayer Party on October 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. inviting the community to an evening of pumpkin carving, sweet treats, and plenty of fall fun. The event will take place at 802 N Main St, Brookfield, and promises a lively atmosphere filled with music, caramel apples, a hot chocolate bar, and a hot dog buffet.

• Local law enforcement will go head-to-head in the Brookfield versus Marceline Battle of the Badges to raise funds for Special Olympics Missouri. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Marceline High School during the football game and will feature a friendly competition where attendees can purchase badges for $1 each to help cover law enforcement vehicles.
The first vehicle to be completely covered in badges will win the contest, and all proceeds from the sales will go directly to supporting Missouri Special Olympics athletes.

• A Halloween celebration presented by the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, and the Elks features a trick-or-treat on Main event on Oct. 31. Line up of children in costume will be at 4:20 p.m. at Twin Parks. The Costume Parade and Trick or Treating is set to run from 4:30-6 p.m. A haunted house and trunk or treat at the Elks will also occur on Halloween in Brookfield.
• Trick-or-Treat Downtown Marceline from 5-7 p.m. The Walsworth Community Cemter and other area churches and organizations will be open for trick or treating.
November 2
• North Central Missouri YMCA Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction, 5 p.m., silent auction, 6 p.m., dinner, 7 p.m., live auction. At the YMCA.
November 30
