• Survivors of Sexual Trauma Women’s Support Group. Sponsored by the North Central Missouri Mental Health Center. Hosted by 4 MOMS. Many women have survived sexual trauma in their lives. Often, they feel they are alone. We are offering a space for survivors to feel safe, receive support and give support. Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. 201 N. Main St., Brookfield. October 31
• A Halloween celebration presented by the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, and the Elks features a trick-or-treat on Main event on Oct. 31. Line up of children in costume will be at 4:20 p.m. at Twin Parks. The Costume Parade and Trick or Treating is set to run from 4:30-6 p.m. A haunted house and trunk or treat at the Elks will also occur on Halloween in Brookfield.
• Trick-or-Treat Downtown Marceline from 5-7 p.m. The Walsworth Community Center and other area churches and organizations will be open for trick or treating.
November 2
• North Central Missouri YMCA Annual Benefit Dinner and Auction, 5 p.m., silent auction, 6 p.m., dinner, 7 p.m., live auction. At the YMCA.
• Creative Pathways is hosting a Holiday Market and Quarter Auction on Nov. 2 at the Walsworth Community Building in Marceline as part of a fundraising effort to send supported individuals to Walt Disney World in 2025 starting at 10 a.m. Cinnamon rolls sale 10 a.m. until sold out, walking tacos from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. and a pork dinner with sides served from 4-6 p.m.
The quarter auction kicks off with paddle sales from 4-6 p.m. and the auction itself begins at 6:30 p.m. A 50/50 raffle will take place live at 8 p.m.
In addition to the auction and food, over 30 local vendors will be present, offering a wide array of items including clothing, candles, gifts, ceramics, jewelry, and more. Proceeds from this event will go toward helping Creative Pathways and Better Days send supported individuals on a dream trip to Disney World in 2025.
