• Square Dancing Lessons, every Monday the Brookfield YMCA from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

February 25

• Brookfield FFA Agriculture Community Appreciation Breakfast, in the LCACTC Conference Room, with serving hours from 6:30-8 a.m. The annual event is an opportunity for the community to come together and show appreciation for local agriculture, while also supporting the Brookfield FFA chapter.

• The Marceline Carnegie Library is inviting community members to get creative at its upcoming Craft Time for Adults on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The event will take place in the library basement and is open to all adults interested in an afternoon of hands-on crafting and socializing. Participants can drop in anytime between 1-4 p.m. to create seasonal crafts, including bunny and Easter-themed decorations. The cost to participate is $5, which covers materials and supplies for the projects.

• Survivors of Sexual Trauma Women’s Support Group. Sponsored by the North Central Missouri Mental Health Center. Hosted by 4 MOMS. Many women have survived sexual trauma in their lives. Often, they feel they are alone. We are offering a space for survivors to feel safe, receive support and give support. Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6 p.m. 201 N. Main St., Brookfield. February 26

• Bucklin FFA Rise-n-Shine Breakfast 6-8 a.m., in the Ag Shop on the southside of the high school.

• Park Baptist Youth is inviting students in grades sixth-seniors to join them for their annual Sugar Rush Event Night on Wed., Feb. 26. The event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. at Park Baptist Church, located at 121 E Park St. in Brookfield.

Sugar Rush 2025 is set to be a fun-filled evening with games, snacks, a costume contest and prizes. Each grade level will have a special theme for their costumes, with middle school boys dressing as Chiefs fans, middle school girls as hippies, high school boys as Western characters, and high school girls as mismatched outfits.

March 3

• Square Dancing Lessons, every Monday the Brookfield YMCA from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

March 4

• Main Street Brookfield’s Summer Fun Days event is in the planning stages, and volunteers are needed to help shape the experience. A meeting is scheduled for March 4 at 5:30 p.m. in the YMCA conference room, where community members will come together to discuss ideas, coordinate logistics, and organize activities. Those who are unable to attend but would like to contribute are encouraged to reach out to the Main Street Brookfield team.

March 7

• The Sorosis Study Club Talent Show, at 7 p.m., Marceline High School. The event will showcase a variety of local talents, bringing together the community for an evening of entertainment and creativity.

March 8

• The Laclede Sportsman’s Club invites the community to enjoy a delicious Steak Feed, from 5-8 p.m., the Lambert Building in Laclede will be filled with the aroma of mouthwatering steaks and the camaraderie of neighbors and friends. For $25, attendees will be treated to a T-bone steak, baked potato, salad, Texas toast, and a choice of coffee or tea. A kid’s hamburger plate is also available for $6, ensuring something for everyone.

• Totally 80s Adult Prom by MOMS Breaking the Silence and is set to bring neon colors, big hair, and classic hits to the dance floor at the Brookfield Elks Lodge from 6-10 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to channel their inner 80s icons for the Best 80s Dressed Contest. Top Sound Mobile Entertainment will be spinning the best hits of the decade. Tickets are $20 per person, payable at the door. A special treat awaits attendees with a themed dessert and candy bar, bringing back favorite sweet flavors from the era.

March 10

• Marceline R-V Kindergarten Round-Up. Additional details will be mailed to parents soon to provide more information about the event and the registration process.

March 14

• Second Annual Pi Day at the Marceline Carnegie Library. Starts at 9:40 a.m., and lasts until the pies are all sold. Please bring cash or check. All proceeds go to help with library programming.

March 17

• NARVRE 154 in Marceline meets 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Marceline Nutrition Center, 229 W Hauser St., Marceline, at 12:30 p.m. All working and retired railroaders and their spouses are welcome and encouraged to attend. • The Meadville Lions Club is inviting the community to its annual Fish Fry on Sat., March 22, 2025, at the Meadville Community Center. The event will take place from 5-7 p.m. and will operate on a free-will donation basis.

March 24

March 27

• The North Central Missouri Mental Health Center is now hosting a LGBTQIA Support Group for teens 17 and younger and adults. The meetings for youth 17 and younger will be be held from 4-5 p.m., and adult group from 5-6 p.m., both on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the MOMS Breaking the Silence office located at 201 N. March 29

• Main Attraction: Awards and Auction, Brookfield Main Street’s Red Carpet Event at the Brookfield Elks Lodge. The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a delicious meal as they celebrate the achievements of local contributors and participate in an exciting auction. Tickets for the event are $35 per person, including dinner. Sponsorship opportunities are available for $100.

In addition to the in-person event, online bidding for auction items will be open from March 23-29, allowing participants to support Brookfield Main Street’s initiatives from anywhere.

• The Friends of the Marceline Carnegie Library are set to host a Quarter Auction on Saturday, March 29 at Father McCartan School. This unique fundraising event will feature a variety of auction items while supporting the library programs and missions.

The event will kick off with vendor sales at 4 p.m., allowing attendees to browse and shop from local sellers. The Quarter Auction itself will begin at 6:30 p.m.

April 12

• Marceline Firefighters Ball from 3:30-11 p.m., featuring famous fireman’s burgers and chips, drive – thru available, social hour and the Cherry Pistols starting at 7 p.m., at the Walsworth Community Center.
