Earl Lavon Bowen, age 85 of Brookfield, MO; passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, MO.

Memorial Graveside Service will be at 1:00 pm. Monday, March 14, 2022 at the Mount Olive Cemetery, Shafter, MO. with Roger Kelsey officiating, with burial to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO. Earl Lavon was born on September 8, 1936 in Linneus, MO. to the late Kenneth Robert Bowen, and Mary Elizabeth (Peer) Bowen. On May 5, 1955 in Chillicothe, MO. he was united in marriage to Shirley Bailey. Earl was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and was very active at the kingdom hall. Earl was always willing to help people out and was an all-round handyman. Helping others gave him joy and pleasure. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Shirley of the home, son, Mike Bowen and Trish, daughter, Ally Signorelh and Brian, and granddaughter Mandy Harris. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Donald Bowen, Dale Bowen, and Bill Bowen, and son Roger Bowen.
