Fish Pitchers, ‘D’ Stand Tall, Net Mustangs As First 2022 Victim

The final play had begun when, with runners at second and third bases and one out, shortstop Luis Ramirez, right, charged a slow ground ball and threw quickly on the run to first base to get the second out as the runner from third scored the second Mustangs run. When Carey tried to advance to third after Ramirez released his throw, Mudcats first baseman Justin Sanchez gunned a strike across the diamond to Bickers to easily cut down Carey for the last out.
