Business will run as usual for both the Marceline City Hall and the Brookfield City Hall and for trash pickup services, but with a few small differences in schedule because of where Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on the calendar.

City of Marceline – City Hall Hours, Trash Pickup

For the City of Marceline, City Hall hours are different, but trash pickup will be on the regular Tuesday schedule for both the Christmas week and the New Year’s Eve week. Marceline City Hall will close at noon on Dec. 23, and will reopen on Dec. 26 on the regular schedule, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

City of Brookfield – City Hall Hours and Trash Pickup Schedule

Since the City of Brookfield has trash pickup times Monday through Friday during each week depending on the location of residential areas and businesses, most pickup times and days will remain on schedule except for the Wednesday schedule. Wednesday trash pickup will be delayed by one day, so trash will be picked up the next day on Thursday, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and set out trash accordingly to ensure smooth pick-up during the holiday period.

As for the Brookfield City Hall, the schedule will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. most days. On Dec. 20, the City Hall will close at 11 a.m. and will remain closed on Dec. 24 and 25.
