Jonathan Lawrence Greenwood, 56, of Brookfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2022 at his home in Brookfield, MO.

Jonathan was born January 12, 1966, son of Michael Carl and Nancy Ann ( Altomare) Greenwood in Los Angeles, CA. John was a member of the First Christian Church and served as a deacon, elder, and felt honored to help in any capacity at the house of God. He was a firm believer in God.

John dealt in antiques and vintage clothing his entire life. Men’s vintage denim was a great passion for John. When John was young, his Grandma Cecelia would take him and his sister to estate sales and tell him which things to grab and John just instinctively knew and always had “the eye for antiques. He had an interest in old motorcycles and vintage cars. John was a self-taught drummer and had many fun nights playing music with friends. He was a great teacher for his girlfriend Lisa of 24 years. John enjoyed going arrowhead hunting, eating Mexican food and spending time with his family.

John is survived by his girlfriend of 24 years, Lisa McIntosh of the home, six children, Cecelia Lujan, Jacob (Colbie) Greenwood, Jonathan Greenwood, and Emily Greenwood, all of Brookfield, MO; Ashley Arkell and Mallory McIntosh of Spokane, WA; one sister, Michele Tucker, two aunts, Claudia Coyne and Christine Davd, eight grandchildren, Abel Doudney, Thaddeus Lujan, Coraline Greenwood, and one on the way, Sicily Arkell, Jackson Brasch, Harper Arkell, Josephine Syrett, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Christian Church; Brookfield, MO. on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 12:00 pm. to 2:00 pm. They will be serving food, and everyone is welcome to come.
