Lillie Ruth Paul Stalte, age 83, of Brookfield, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Lillie was born on June 9, 1939 in Rule Macon County in Missouri, to the late Alfred and Anna (Blew) Grable. Lillie was united into marriage with Lawrence Russell Paul in March of 1963. He preceded her in death in 1997. Then in April of 2001, Lillie married Villis Stalte. He also preceded her in death in 2017. Lillie was a member of the First Baptist church in Marceline. She loved reading romance novels, the harlequin romance series, and westerns. She was an accomplished seamstress. She would sew clothes for her family and had worked for Stanbury Uniforms for 30 plus years. Lillie enjoyed gardening, she always raised a big garden so she could can and preserve everything she harvested.

Lillie is survived by one son, Everett Bud Bradbury, one daughter, Deborah Paul Collins, one step-daughter, Phyllis Linebaugh, two brothers, Elmo Buck Grable and John Grable, eight grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and several other relatives.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Lawrence Russell Paul and Villis Stalte, one grandson, Christopher Lance Bradbury, and 14 siblings.

Funeral Service will be held at the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, Missouri on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 12:00 pm. until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Parklawn Memorial Garden Cemetery, Brookfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brookfield Senior Center and or the Linn County Food Pantry, and can be left at or mailed to the Rhodes Funeral Home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, Missouri, 64628.
