Linn Countians Got College-Level Baseball Traction During Chillicothe Mudcats’ Tough Year

Fresh out of high school, catcher Nathan Cupp of Marceline got a head start on his college-level baseball career this summer, playing in 16 games with the Chillicothe Mudcats wood-bat team and batting .150 in 40 official at-bats, while also gaining experience catching higher-velocity pitchers with sharper breaking pitches before he joins the new Moberly Area Community College program this fall and next spring.
