Lydia Marie Jansen, 23, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her home in Brookfield, MO.

Lydia was born on September 12, 1998 in Marshall, MO, the daughter of Kenneth and Kathy (Pittman) Jansen. She graduated from Marceline High School in Marceline, MO in 2017. After high school Lydia began working for Linn County Senate Bill 40 and began working a second job at McDonalds in 2019. She worked at both establishments until her passing.

Lydia was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was a very social person who never met a stranger. She loved everything about life, but some of her favorite things were visiting with friends and family, attending high school sporting events, swimming, and doing crafts.

Lydia is survived by two siblings, Kerrie Rich and her husband Marcus of Sweet Springs, MO and Mitchell Pittman and his wife Taylor of Columbia, MO; her paternal grandmother, Margie Jansen of Brunswick, MO; and her maternal grandmother, Bettye Pittman of Slater, MO; Lydia is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Kathy (Pittman) Jansen; her paternal grandfather, Gerard Jansen; and her maternal grandfather, Kenneth Pittman.

Funeral services were held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brunswick, MO on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Theiss officiated the service. Visitation was held at the church prior to the service on Monday from 9:30-11:00 A.M. Burial was in Newcomer Cemetery in Mendon, MO.

Pallbearers were Jermie Pittman, Josh Pittman, Jeffrey Pittman, Eric Ward, and David Gunn.
