Mike Lee Morin, 58, of

Raymore Missouri, passed away on December 21, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Mike was born September 17,1964 to parents Francis and Dorothy Darby in Fairfax MO. He grew up and attended school in Brookfield MO. On July 03, 1983 he was married to the love of his life, Rena. Together they made a home for themselves while traveling around in the United States military and managed to have two amazing children, Kimberly and Phillip. Mike was a respected Senior Non-commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force, serving 24 honorable years as a Security Force Leader. During his service, Mike achieved many accolades and medals to include the Bronze Star for heroism & several meritorious service medals. He was known by the Airman who served under him as a kind, family-oriented, firm yet fair leader. His career included 7 combat tours, 2 remote tours & 7 duty stations. After military retirement, Mike went on to work 12 years for the United States Postal Service at the distribution plant as a supervisor. During his leisure time Mike enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, fishing, taking cruises & watching the Kansas City Chiefs. Further, he was very active with the local Veteran of Foreign War’s (VFW) organization. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Morin; father, Frances Darby; adopted father, Ronnie Morin; and 3 brothers, Danny, Rick & Randy Darby. Those left to remember and cherish Mike’s memory are his wife Rena Morin, Raymore MO; daughter Kimberly (Nick) Fenison of Overland Park KS; son Phillip Morin of Philadelphia PA; 2 grandchildren, Emma & Henry Fenison; and Sister Pam (Jason) Smith of Columbia MO. Mike exemplified all the characteristics of a good husband, father, grandfather & Airman. He will be missed greatly & his legacy will never be forgotten. A Memorial Service for Mike will be held at 10:00am on December 30, 2022 in McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Rd, Kansas City MO 64145 with pastor Brent Cantrell presiding.
