Mary C. Robinson, our sweet, devoted, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother left us Thursday, May 25, 2017 to go to heaven where she continues to watch over and care for us. We know that it was a joyful reunion with her beloved, “A.L.” who we lost just 11 months ago. She was a joy to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they held a very special place in her heart.
Mary became a P.E.O. sister as a young woman and found many special friends in that group over the years. She held leadership positions with her local chapters and also in the Missouri statewide organization.
She had a gift for music with a beautiful singing voice. Mary shared that gift through her Catholic Churches first in Brookfield, Missouri and then in Sedalia where she led the choirs. Her other special joys were spending time with friends in Missouri and Florida and her dogs.
Mary was born to Clyde William Cleveland and Beulah Anderson Cleveland in Brookfield, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, A.L. Robinson; and her brother, William C. Cleveland.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Keller (David) and Sarah Evans (Frank); grandchildren, Tracy Oxtoby, John Keller, Julie Scott, Sally Stegemann, Patricia Finan, Katie McCune, William Evans, and Andrew Keller; great-grandchildren, Emma and Sophie Oxtoby, Julia, Isabelle and Henry Keller, Josie and Jill Scott, Samantha, Luke and Bennett Stegemann, Michael and Alexandra Finan, Liam and John McCune, and Emma Evans. Also surviving is her twin sister, Marian Guthrie and many nieces and nephews.
The family expresses its sincere appreciation to Juan Pineda, M.D. and the other physicians and nurses at Boone Hospital for their compassionate and attentive care.
