Cagle purchases building from IDA
The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) of Marceline, announced earlier this week, they have completed a real estate transaction for property located at 726 E. Gracia Ave., formerly known as Herff Jones. Following the IDA's acquisition of the building and grounds, the property was sold to Blake Cagle, owner of Cagle Machine for use as a future manufacturing facility. Several members from the IDA and Blake Cagle were present at the closing.
Blake Cagle a long-time business owner, machinist and Marceline resident contacted Darrell Gardner, executive director of the Marceline IDA, earlier this year about expanding his operation here. Gardner said, "This property became available and seemed to be a perfect fit for Blake's facility."
There will be a general clean up and assessment of the building, which started this week. When asked, Cagle said, "we will be moving to this building as soon as possible."
