Two juveniles were injured in the accident.
A 22-year-old Chillicothe man was arrested and charged with alleged driving while intoxicated following an early morning accident on Saturday, in which two female juveniles were injured.
According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol at about 2:45 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 17, Andrew Campbell, 22, Chillicothe, was driving a 20112 Chevy southbound on County Road 285, just south of County Road 280 in Carroll County when he failed to negotiate a curve causing the vehicle to go off the left side of the road and strike a tree.
Two passengers, Marcella M. Epperson, 15, Chillicothe, and Rosalynn M. Pittman-Maupin, 15, Chillicothe, received minor injuries and were taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital by ambulance. According to the report, Campbell nor the passengers were wearing seat belts.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest reports, troopers arrest Campbell at about 3:28 a.m., Saturday, and took him to the Chariton County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.
