Hazel Yvonne Cork, 80, of Columbia went to be with her Savior on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Parkside Manor.
Celebration of Life services will be held at Columbia First Assembly of God at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 24. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service.
Hazel was born August 5, 1937, in Ft. Laramie, Wyo. to Cleatus and Violet Wells Walker.
On Dec. 21, 1974, she was united in marriage to Paul Cork and he survives.
She attended Ft. Laramie Public School for 12 years. She received an associate of arts degree from Columbia College in 1999 and a diploma for interior decorating from LaSalle Institute.
Hazel loved her family, working in her flower gardens but foremost she loved her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Columbia First Assembly of God.
Those remaining to cherish her memory include her husband of 43 years; daughters, Carol Williams (Dwight), Karen Steinbeck, Cynthia Miller (Tom), and Joan Kittrell; son, John Kittrell; sister, Gladys; brother, Kenneth Walker; and two step-children, Linda Cash and Michael Cork of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Rose Miller and Ruth Brittenham; and son, Alan Harris.
