Margaret D. Stuckemeyer, 79, of Mexico, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her home.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, at the Rush Hill Community Church with Rev. Bob Stanford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Margaret was born September 1, 1938 in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of John and Emily (Montagne) Durack. On September 7, 1963 in Honolulu, Hawaii, she married Jack Stuckemeyer. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2007.

Mrs. Stuckemeyer was a graduate of Florida State University. She was a stay-at-home mom and worked hard to take great care of her family. Margaret was a Catholic and attended Mass every week. She was also a volunteer librarian for 30 years.

Margaret loved everything about Florida, especially shells and the beach. She deeply loved her family and absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandson.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeanne (Scott) Hobbs of Mexico; one son, Christopher John Stuckemeyer of West Palm Beach, Florida; three grandchildren, Dennis (Emily) Hobbs of Rochester, New York, Alex (Sammie) Hobbs of Springfield, and Sam Hobbs of Springfield; one great-grandson, Jonathan Hobbs; one great-grandchild that is due in a week or two; three sisters, Murray D. Laurie of Gainesville, Florida, Maureen D. Mulrooney of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Joan D. Jenkins of Baltimore, Maryland; and one brother, Michael Durack of San Antonio, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Audrain County Relay for Life, c/o Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
