The Brookfield and Marceline junior varsity golf teams travelled to Macon on Monday morning. The two schools finished back to back, fifth and sixth, out of eight teams.
Marceline only had four golfers and had to bite a 200 as the penalty.
Brookfield finished with a collective round of 476 strokes, and Marceline was two strokes behind.
Brookfield's Robert Davis shot a 115 to lead his team. Brett Montgomery shot a 118.
Garrett Pickman led Marceline with a 109-stroke round, good for 14th place. Brandon Swanson and Brady Scott both came back to the clubhouse with 113 strokes which also put them inside the top 20.
Helias dominated the Macon JV Tournament. Its five golfers comprised the top five individual finishers. The Crusaders shot a 334 to finish 82 strokes ahead of runner-up Centralia, and 90 strokes ahead of the host.
Brookfield's varsity event in Columbia hosted by Father Tolton, scheduled for Monday, was cancelled.
