The Brookfield basketball teams travelled to Salisbury on Friday night and split the pair.
The girls were handled in the first game, 54-23, in a game in which the Bulldogs' offense stagnated too often.
The boys tasted victory for the first time this season to advance to 1-2, defeating the Panthers 58-52.
Jacob Day again carried the Bulldogs with 27 points. Stephan Montgomery contributed nine and Avery Schreiner finished with eight.
After sustaining a knee injury two nights prior against Carrollton, the Bulldogs were without point guard Nick Jones. The severity of his injury is yet to be totally determined.
The junior varsity boys also picked up a victory on Friday, edging the Panthers 46-44.
