Marceline hosted its annual Tiger Mat Classic wrestling tournament on Saturday morning into the afternoon, and Brookfield was also in attendance.
In total, 12 teams travelled to Marceline on Saturday.
Brookfield had four first-place finishers in the top-flight brackets, and two in the alternate brackets. At 113 pounds, Jaden Abongo took first place. Donavan Parn did the same at 132, as did Brandon Delana at 182 and Brooks Baker in the heavyweight classification.
Trent Polley won the 145-pound alternate bracket, and Derek Liebhart won the 170 alternate.
Brookfield's Alexa McCollum also won her 187-pound girls' division. Fallon Gladbach finished second at 167, and Bree Clawson was third in her division.
Marceline had a pair of champions on Saturday afternoon. Cooper Fisher won his 126-pound division, and Clayton Stallo ran through the 152-pound class for a tournament title.
Jace Bixenman finished second at 113 pounds, as did Colton Nelson at 138. Cullen Bruner was third place in the 160 class.
Marceline wrestles again when the Tigers travel to Mid-Buchanan on Tuesday night. The Brookfield Bulldogs are scheduled to participate in a tri on Tuesday night with Lawson and Lafayette County in Higginsville.
