In a near-total shocker, Marceline High School Lady Tigers golfer Ella Sportsman shot her best-ever 18-holes round in competition to be co-medalist in the Oct. 10 Class 1 District 3 tournament at Moberly’s Heritage Hills Golf Course. Her stunning 88 was 15 shots lower than her prior competition-best for 18 holes and matched district team champion Ewing: Highland’s Morgan Crist for the tourney’s lowest score.
